We advertise our grants annually in the scientific journal 'Nature.
Anyone interested in applying for a CGD research grant has to complete an application form. A panel of experts from related fields reviews each application. These peer reviewers score the applications on the basis of quality, relevance, originality, feasibility and value for money. Their recommendations are considered by the Trust's Medical and Scientific Advisory Panel. This panel of experts advises the Trust on the best quality research to fund and on setting priorities for future CGD research.
Our Medical and Scientific Advisory Panel
The Panel meets each year in November to discuss grant applications. The Panel considers reports from external referees and advises the Trustees on the projects of greatest merit. We are extremely fortunate and pleased to have on our panel:
